I thought that I’d give up hopes of ever competing in a agility event after our disastrous attempts to make it to classes. But we managed to stick it through this season with us missing only a few classes. And at the end of the season, the club sets up a club match where all of us gets to compete for fun… beginners vs beginners and such.

First we had a very funny team event, where the total time is of all of us competing in the same group is taken into account. Errrmm i didn’t do very well at all.. cos when i have to weave in between cones with tennis balls on them, i had the tendency to knock them over with my paws or my big butt! hahahah

Getting ready to start

Staying on the table.
The second event was the snooker event. I had make 3 jumps.. but it cannot be jumped consecutively. So, we chose to do the jump then tunnel, jump, tunnel and jump and broad jump.. etc.
We were all set to go.. and start off.. but was told to stop halfway, cos the stopwatch didn’t start on time. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise cos after my initial burst of enthusiasm, which always result in me not listening that well and running around alot, i was more settled and listened to the commands properly. This resulted in us doing a perfect course, with zero faults and at a very fast timing. We couldn’t be happier! We came in top for our group for the snooker event! *wags tail*
We didn’t have any pictures to show
We had to wait quite a long time for the last event..
S starting to get a bit nervous

It wasn’t the best and we were disqualified…. but hey.. it’s my first agility competition at a ripe old age of 8.5 yrs old and i’m pretty happy that i got to do it! And you know wat? The next match.. we’d do better!
But at least i didn’t do wat Mokka did!

Hahahahahah!

Well done King and Mokka!
Love,
Homer

Great post and one heck of a good first run! We’ve been looking into this for our Border Collie as well..it looks like a blast and the dogs really seem to get a kick out it.
I looked at your site and really enjoyed it. My name is Vince Stead and I was wondering if you would maybe put a picture of my dog book I wrote called “New How to Understand and Train your Border Collie Puppy or Dog” on your site. I would appreciate it very much. Thank you again, and your site was very nice to look thru. You could even post this on your site if you wanted, thank you again, Vince.
